On Friday, February 2, 2024, Cowlitz Falls Operations Staff will begin to lower the Cowlitz Falls reservoir to facilitate maintenance activities associated with the Debris Barrier Rehabilitation project.
The reservoir will initially be lowered ten feet to an expected elevation of 850’ by 8:00a.m. on Saturday, February 3, and continue to lower the reservoir to between 840’ – 842’ by 4:00p.m. on Sunday, February 4th.
The reservoir is expected to be lowered for several weeks with the anticipation of refilling the reservoir starting on Friday, March 1st, 2024.
The Cowlitz Falls Day Use Park will be closed beginning at 4:00p.m. on Thursday, February 1st, and will reopen once the reservoir refills and the conditions are safe.
