Chehalis, WA – Lewis County PUD Employee and Union Fund members collaborated in raising $4,500, and on Wednesday, December 14, 2022, they donated it to the Lewis County Food Bank Coalition (LCFBC).

The funds are 100% provided by PUD employees through donations and fundraising. Every $1 contributed to LCFBC translates into at least $1.72 in food they are able to distribute to nine food banks throughout Lewis County.

“I do appreciate the support of the people of Lewis County in many ways,” said Sue Barlow, LCFBC volunteer. “We are as grateful for this donation as we were for the $40 donation that was given to us recently because it all adds up.”

Barlow added that volunteers are also much needed and appreciated.

“The Lewis County PUD Employee Fund appreciates the work the Lewis County Food Bank Coalition accomplishes for our community and is proud to be able to support their mission with this donation,” said Jacob Henry, President of the Employee Fund.
