The Commissioners of Public Utility District No. 1 of Lewis County approved its 2018 Budget during their public meeting on Tuesday, December 5th in Morton. The $73.8 million budget includes an approximate $1.4 million deficit. Due to the 2018 budget deficit, the Commissioners approved a rate proceeding scheduled to address the deficit. Public Rate hearings will be held on Saturday, January 20th at 1:00 p.m. in the PUD’s Morton Office and on Tuesday, January 23rd during the Commissioner’s regularly scheduled meeting at 10:00 a.m. at the PUD’s Chehalis Office. The Commissioners encourage customers to attend the public hearings.
