Cowlitz Falls Day Use Park Reopens March 8

UPDATE: Effective March 8, the Cowlitz Falls Day Use Park is open. ORIGINAL: The Cowlitz Falls Day Use Park will be closed today, February 28, 2022 @ 11:00 a.m. due to a reservoir drawdown in anticipation of high water levels. The reopening of the Day Use Park will be announced following the high water event.

UPDATE (2/2/22): The debris barrier has been repaired. The Day Use Park will reopen for public use on February 2, 2022 @ 3 p.m. UPDATE (1/10/22): The high water levels caused damage to the debris barrier at the Cowlitz Falls Hydroelectric Project.
