Lewis County PUD is governed by a three-member Board of Commissioners elected by the citizens of Lewis County. The Commissioners serve six-year terms and represent a defined geographic area of the county. Each commissioner also represents the PUD as a delegate to various utility business organizations. The terms are staggered so that a different Commissioner stands for election every two years. The Commissioners set utility policies and hire the Manager to implement these policies.

The Lewis County PUD Board of Commissioners meets every Monday at 10:00 A.M. The first meeting of each month is held at the PUD Office in Morton at 110 Main Street, and the remaining meetings at the PUD Office in Chehalis at 321 NW Pacific Avenue.
