RULES AND REGULATIONS FOR THE USE OF
THE LEWIS COUNTY P.U.D. PUBLIC MEETING ROOM

    345 N.W. Pacific Avenue, Chehalis

    Revised August 4, 2005

The Lewis County PUD public meeting room is available without charge to responsible non-profit groups for special meetings only with a separate reservation required for each meeting. Frequency of single group meetings may be limited by the District. Call the District at 360-740-2412 to reserve the auditorium.

The following rules will apply to all groups using the room:

    • The key may be picked up at the District's Chehalis office at 321 N.W. Pacific Avenue during regular working hours and shall be deposited in the Night Depository at the 321 N.W. Pacific Avenue entrance to the building after locking the 345 N.W. Pacific Avenue entrance door of the building following the meeting.
    • The capacity of the room is limited to 49.
    • The premises shall be kept clean and orderly by those using the room. All tables and chairs shall be left in the location they are found. The District employs no janitor and makes no charge for the use of the room; therefore, the District insists that the room be left as found. Janitorial equipment is located in the Janitor Room should the room need cleaning after use.
    • The telephone in the auditorium may be used for local calls by first dialing "9" and the number. If there is a need to contact the Dispatcher, dial "9-748-9262."
    • Refreshments may be served; however, all paper and waste material must be disposed of. Smoking and alcoholic beverages are prohibited.
    • Decorations, posters or other descriptive material may be thumb tacked or pinned to the cork panels provided. No such material shall be attached to any of the other walls or woodwork. All posters shall be removed by the group attaching them.
    • The PUD reserves the right to cancel any reservations when the facilities are required for PUD purposes.
    • The privilege of using the meeting room will be refused for reason of disregard of any of the rules and regulations, creating a disturbance, willful damage to the building or facilities or leaving the room with dirty floors or tables.
    • A multi-breaker panel is located in the southeast corner of the room which controls all electrical circuits. Should a multi-breaker circuit be opened by the tripping of the breaker, service can be restored by moving the multi-breaker to the complete "Off" position and then to the "On" position. This should restore the circuit to its normal operating condition.
    • When using the auxiliary ventilating fan, follow the instructions located in the northwest corner of the room.
    • Lewis County PUD hopes you will enjoy using this facility. Any comments you might have will be appreciated.
